Checking In....Half-way Point!

Hey Ladies...

CONGRATULATIONS....YOU HAVE MADE IT HALF-WAY through the program! I am so proud of ALL of you! I have heard lots of stories of weight loss, 4 pounds in three days, 5 pounds here, 5 pounds there....and from my side, about 10 pounds in five days from TWO ladies...whoa! I haven't heard how all of Emily's ladies are doing, so I know there are probably more stories to come! I am just amazed at your results and your determination...unbelievable. We are scheduled to have our next conference call tomorrow (Thursday) at 8:30 pm CST. I will be sending out the number and access code as soon as possible. I can't to hear from more of you, answer questions, etc.

If you haven't already, head to facebook and add Ann Louise Gittleman as your friend AND join her fan site, she would LOVE to count you as one of her friends (and fans)! Also, spread the word about this program and your amazing results to all your friends. I posted the results for my two big 10 lb. "losers" as my facebook status (add me as your friend while you're at it...Carol Templeton, University of Texas) and have already gotten a handful of girls wanting to try it. We are also working on a website that will give the protocol out and feature testimonials from you, so that we can spread the word!!

Also, as you finish up your second week, remember to mix things up a little bit to stay motivated and focused. Have your "dinner" meal at lunch or make a grilled chicken salad instead of just meat, veggies and salad. Get creative!

When you cross the two-week finish line next Wednesday night, you are going to be turning lots of heads!!!! To make sure that you keep the weight off and make it all the way to your GOAL (for those that need to continue losing), we will provide you with a follow-up program (adding in more foods) to keep you on track until you're back in those skinny jeans!

HAPPY FLUSHING...

Carol

Couldn't help myself

I know in a previous post i said I was only going to weigh myself weekly but i couldn't help myself this morning and I weighed in. Today is day 3 for me and as of this morning i lost 4 Lbs!!! I'm completely shocked and unbelievably happy. I can't wait to see what happens in the next 11 days. Thank you so much for this wonderful opportunity. I just hope I can maintain the weight loss or lose a few more pounds (if needed) then maintain when this is over. :)

How's it going so far???

Hey Ladies -

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend.....or should I say "FABULOUS FAT FLUSHING WEEKEND"????

I attended a friend's wedding in Austin, TX this weekend, and told everyone about you ladies and the program you're doing, and I think I inspired a few to try it for themselves...keep up the great work!

As far as bragging on my ladies, I heard today that Misty has lost a total of 8 pounds so far...wow! She also survived a birthday party on Saturday and said "NO" to cake ...way to go!

As Emily said, don't stress over your weight loss....just stick to the program and the results WILL come! Everyone loses weight differently, and sometimes it's more inches than pounds, but when it comes to the NEW CLOTHES you'll all need to buy in a few weeks, inches are all that matters!

I hope to hear from you all soon....if you haven't joined the blog yet....we would love to find out how you're doing!

Good Luck!
Carol

My before pictures :( I'm a bit embarrassed. can't believe I let myself go after kids. I have never really taken a look at pictures of myself. I usually try to avoid the camera at all costs. Can't wait to post my after pictures :)

DAY 3!

Can't wait to hear how you're all doing! I know Mariel has lost 5 lbs in the first 2 days. REMEMBER, it's not about the weight, though...it's about inches, and cleaning your system so it is able to burn fat more efficiently.

How are you all feeling? Any feedback will help the entire group. My husband is even doing the program now! Just think how you will all be able to influence your families on to health, as you take care of "YOU!"

Have a great weekend (YOU CAN SURVIVE the weekend!)

:-)

Introductions Anyone?!

Hello Ladies -

Hope DAY ONE went well! 13 days to go! I know everyone got the chance to "meet" last night, however, there has been interest in sharing before and after pictures with one another so you'll have a face to attach to the name! If you would like to tell us more about you/share your before pictures, pictures of your family, etc., make a post titled "Introducing....Misty, Bobbie, etc." To add a picture of yourself to a post, click on the picture icon on the toolbar.

Instructions to create a new post: click on "log in" on the gray bar at the top of your screen (right hand side). Then, log in and when you get back to the blog, click "new post" on the gray bar (right hand side where the log in link was). Once you are in the new post area, you can add pictures, etc. When you are done, hit "publish post". If you need to edit it, click on the pencil below the post in the blog and it will allow you to make changes.

We can't wait to see you :)

You're ALL Authors!

When you accept the blog invitation, it makes you an author on the blog. That means YOU can write your own posts on this blog. I don't think this also makes you a follower of the blog, so you can do that separately on the right side of the blog.

I will keep the general "questions" post going for you all throughout these next few weeks and will add questions/answers as they come in. Otherwise, feel free to post away.

Questions?

As I get questions, I'll be happy to answer them (or get an answer) for you.

I'll keep the questions and the answers in this post so that everyone can view them also! If you have a new question, post a comment and we'll answer it for you as soon as we can!

QUESTIONS:

Can I work out during this program?
Yes, you can workout, but PLEASE make sure you are having enough smoothies (1/2 a smoothie 1/2 hour before working out, and then several hours after). Remember, you can have 2-3 smoothies per day in addition to your nightly protein/salad/veggies meal.
How late in the evening should we have dinner? Can we have a smoothie any time after dinner?
Please do not eat anything for the three hours prior to bedtime. Theoretically, you can have the meals in any order you want, as long as you get at least three meals a day (two smoothie meals and one protein/salad/veggie meal). If you need/want to have the "real" meal at lunch and then a smoothie for dinner that's fine. Remember that you can also have a 3rd smoothie if needed at some point in the day (especially if you are working out), just NOT within three hours of bedtime!
I work out early in the morning, so there is always someone home with the kids and it's cooler. Is it okay to run before eating then drink the smoothie after the work out is done, or does this defeat the purpose?
Ideally you should probably have a smoothie or 1/2 a smoothie before your run, but if not, please make sure you have a smoothie immediately afterward, and remember that you can have up to one extra smoothie in addition to the two "required" smoothies per day as needed. It's very important to keep yourself sustained and satisfied...starving yourself or going without for too long can cause your metabolism to slow down and sabotage your weight loss results!
